Herbal therapy seminars

It is a series of three two-day seminars that aim to give participants the opportunity to become familiar with the use of plants as therapeutic tools, but also to become actively involved in the process of healing, by preparing homemade herbal remedies themselves. Each seminar has a total duration of 12 hours.

Seminar 1

Theoretical part

  • the use of herbs as a tool for self-management of health and the enhancement of self-reliance and resilience at individual and collective level.
  • introduction to the use of herbs and a brief history of herbal medicine.
  • the active constituents of herbs (phenols, tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids, etc.) and their effect on the human body.
  • herbal therapy for the nervous system.

Practical part:

  • homemade herbal pharmacy: preparation of homemade water-based remedies (infusion, decoction, syrup, poultice)

Seminar 2

Theoretical part:

  • herbal therapy for the skin.
  • herbal therapy for the digestive system.
  • herbal therapy for the muscular system.

Practical part:

  • homemade herbal pharmacy: preparation of home remedies based on herbal oils (herbal oil, wax ointment, cream).

Seminar 3

Theoretical part:

  • herbal therapy for the circulatory system.
  • herbal therapy for the respiratory system.
  • herbal therapy for the female reproductive system.
  • herbal therapy for the urinary system.
  • herbal therapy for the male reproductive system.

Practical part:

  • homemade herbal pharmacy: preparation of homemade alcohol-based remedies (tinctures, medicinal wines and vinegars).
