Seminar on solar oven construction and other solar thermal constructions

By converting the sun’s radiation directly into heat, we can cook (with the solar oven), heat our home (with the solar air heater), dry herbs and fruits (with the solar dryer), make bioethanol (with the solar still) and much more. Solar thermal structures are simple and very efficient in relation to their cost. Due to their simplicity they are reliable, easy to maintain with a long lifetime and can play an important role in combination with other systems in achieving energy self-sufficiency. The use of the solar oven is an alternative and ecological way of cooking that can significantly reduce electricity or fuel consumption, contributing to energy self-sufficiency. In the seminar we look at the different types of solar oven, we build some of them. At the same time, we learn how to use them in cooking and food processing in general.
